this is rise at dawn, our first single!!!! we worked very hard on it, and even have a wonderful animation by felix and A.J that you'll love, so check it out!!!
just some guys who make music ennit.
ok fine i'll tell u. purejoy is a little band made of felix and taryn. we met at our old student accomomodation during our first year of uni, and started singing together (much to the annoyance of our neighbours at 4am). now we know our 'aesthetic' and have some cool ideas ready.
the principle is we express our innermost experiences, sorrows, highs and burdened emotions through music, so that we can be joyous and whimsical in real life! what a steal!
so you've found us! and what a time to do it! we've just released our first song, and as of november 25th we will have performed our first gig, which hopefully taryn will then change this sentence to include links to some sort of video for it, so you can see us live and direct in our abstract yearning!
and if you got to watch some clips from the show, you'll realise we have just about 10 MORE SONGS READY (or almost ready) for the world. somewhere between folk, grunge and shoegaze, we have got it all. you better be ready!
will it be an album???? NO!
it will take us a year, but it will be a generational single run! and then you can enjoy a little condensed project.
